Well I just committed an updated set of SWIG interfaces for the 2.1 branch -- some unused methods in OBForceField were removed. I thought it was a good time to give a quick update on what's going on with the upcoming 2.1 release: * Noel confirmed that everything in Python (including his great Pybel interface) is good. * I can confirm that the Perl interface looks good. * I also tried out the new Java interface on Mac OS X. I'm not sure if the file format loading works on Linux yet, but it does here. I'm hopeful that some libopenbabel changes may make Linux possible too. If there are some willing testers (er, victims?), I'd like to confirm that Java and/or Ruby can be made to work with the current 2.1.0 candidate snapshot. Let me know if you're game and I'll send you the source! Thanks, -Geoff |
