I am attaching the ASN.1 file of the crystal structure
of beta-galactosidase of Escherichia coli. Other
examples of this file type are at
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed
ASN.1 supercedes the older PDB format. According to
NCBI, it improves on annotation and fixes some
ambiguous data references. Because the excellent NCBI
public-domain viewer, Cn3D, will only accept ASN.1
files, there is an urgent need for a PDB->ASN.1 converter.
