When you register at sourceforge, it will ask you for a username that you
will use at their site.  Sourceforge is based on a unix system, so
eventually when you want to navigate through their system, it will a unix
interface.  This is what i mean by "unix ID", not to be confused with your
"uhunix ID".

The ftp that is set up is not for code, or for testing.  I am in the
process of setting up CVS for the code, but the anonymous ftp site I told
you about is for things to be put or stored so your uhunix account is not
filled up (i think you asked about this earlier?).  I added the pscp.exe
program there, so you can download it from the anonymous ftp site.

Lastly, i think in the beginning we can test our code directly on our
machines using loacalhost.  If we get to the point where we actually have
something completed we can go and put it on Pat's machine.  For now I
don't think it is that necessary to use Pat's machine since at sourceforge
we have:

  1. a forum that you can visit once you are registered
  2. an anonymous ftp site to hold our project-related files
  3. a homepage that I am currently setting up
  4. a CVS system to hold and manage source code that we write
  5. a mailing list (which is not needed since we already have one)
  6. an optional MySQL databse if we feel we need one
  7. Other features like news, task managers etc...

Take a look at sourceforge for more details...

P.S. Nolan should have Pat's machine up soon ... i think.
