Hello, I installed ubuntu 7.10 i386 desktop version on computer with AMT enabled, but I can not get Intel virtual cdrom, though I have already enable IDER on another computer. Windows XP profressional works well(can get virtual CDROM through another computer) on this AMT computer. These are my parameters I get: dmesg | grep Intel: CPU0:Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @2.66GHZ stepping 0b CPU1:Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @2.66GHZ stepping 0b Intel (R) PRO/1000 Network Driver -version 7.6.5-NAPI Copyright (c) 1999 - 2007 Intel Corporation heci: Intel(R) AMT Management Interface - version 3.2.0.24 heci: Copyright (c) 2003 - 2007 Intel Corporation e1000:eth0: e1000_probe : Intel (R) PRO/1000 Network Connection agpgart : Detected an Intel Q35 Chipset. dmesg | grep heci: heci: Intel(R) AMT Management Interface - version 3.2.0.24 heci: Copyright (c) 2003 - 2007 Intel Corporation heci: link layer has been established. heci: heci driver initialization successful. lsmod | grep heci: heci 61840 0 crw-------- 1 root root 253, 1 2008-04-11 16:46 /dev/heci crw-------- 1 root root 253, 0 2008-04-11 16:46 /dev/iamthif uname -r: 2.6.22-14-generic(Ubuntu Offical kernel) The way I enabled IDER: Start "Intel AMD Command"(version:2006-2007, included in Intel amt DTK), click "Intel AMT Terminal" and enable "active IDER", I used chinese version, anyway, it works when AMT running on Windows. My bios version:JOQ3510J.86A.0559.2007.0726.0425 Any ideas? |
