I'm generally in favor of open source AI projects, since over the years I've seen the wheel reinvented many times.  However, it seems prohibitively difficult to contribute my code to your site.

Anyway, for those who might be interested I have some neural net/machine vision programs written in visual basic 6 on my web site.  All of these programs have GUIs of one sort or another.

Well, we're hoping to eventually be *the* standard for Artificial Intelligence.  I personally feel that theory and practice have come along way in the last 50+ years of AI.  In addition, coding practices and languages have come even further.  Its about time that someone has taken the initiative and created an archive of standard AI tools for the world to use.

Our primary goals are to create a suite of tools that are flexible, reliable, fast, extensible, and accepted into the community.  I'd love to see the work that our guys are doing find their way into just about every sort of application that AI can be applied to.  From fingerprint and image matching, to WAP phones, to smarter cars ... OpenAI will *hopefully* be there.

Even if we are shooting above the mark, I feel that if we can keep the community of AI going, we can make our presence be known.  We can be the trail blazers.
