Version 2009-01-13 of Open82, the freely-licenced replacement firmware for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, has been released.

This release marks the merging of the OpenZXRom and Open82 projects, taking the OpenZXRom codebase as a starting point and incorporating the Open82 project's progress towards a full Sinclair Basic interpreter, particularly in securing permission to redistribute code from the ZX81 and SAM Coupe ROMs under the GPL.... read more
