Doing a Google Search on the problem line gave me a result, it's from a Fedora fix. But I think it's worth taking a looking, I haven't tried it yet, but here's the link. http://erikbryantology.blogspot.com/2013/03/patching-vmware-tools-in-fedora-18.html
