Jorge,
that looks strange.

Could you try to extract the initrd as follows:
mkdir /tmp/initrd
cd /tmp/initrd
gzip -cd <pathtoinitrd>/initrd_sr-2.6.18-194.11.3.el5.img | cpio --extract --make-directories

Then execute the following command:
chroot /tmp/initrd com-queryclusterconf nodeids

What happens?
