Hi, I am a new user and I would like to post in the forum/list. My message is: Hi everyone, I am not an expert in electronic or neurology, but as all of you I am really interested in making and TMS (to treat depression in my case). Sometime ago I tried with neodymium magnets that have the suck power of 25 kg and 80 kg but I didn't have success whit them (I usually tried to move them in the area in the head tipically used with TMS). Now I have another simple idea and I would like to share with all of you, I know that is so simple but I think its interesant and is: Why don't use a solenoid that creates a magnetic field (maybe similar than TMS devices)? That is an electromagnet available in different sizes to get different strenghts. Logically to be more similar to a rTMS it would have to create the magnetic fields for only microseconds and repeat it for much times. For example in aliexpress.com<http://aliexpress.com> there are a lot very cheaps with strenght of 10 kg, 25 kg, 40 kg, 80 kg... I think the most interesant model would create a strenght of around 1 Tesla, what would be, about 10 kg? What do you think? At least I would like to know your opinions about why to discard this option. I hope to give you an interesant point. Thanks everybody and sorry for my english. Rubén |
