[open-perl-ide-user] Open Perl IDE Wants to access Internet

I have just installed the Open Perl IDE, and when I run it, it insists on a 
connection to the net which my firewall prevents.  Unless I give access it 
will not run.  I am a bit queezy about giving access to an application 
without knowing why it wants to talk to the world.

Has anyone seen this and is there a solution?
