    Hi!

We are planing to use open modeling for our upcoming ISO9001 QMS and have installed open modeling on an internal testing server (Mac OS, later it will be our companies`s Unix Server).
Everything works really fine and now we would like to go "in medias res"! There are many processes and an "open model" already included in open modeling (from the installation script i guess).
I would like to create an own model for our company with own entities and own processes, totally new defined! I tried to do so, but when i tried to log in afterwards nothing happened and i was not able to chose from those 6 "combo boxes" any more!
Do you have some advices for me how to handle my problem?

Open Model seems to be a productive program, usefull for quality management systems indeed! After getting started with it I would like to recommend to to our customers!

Sorry for my bad english, my mothers tongue is german!

    TIA

    regards

    Bigman

      Hi,

Sorry for long waiting I didn't see your message. As I understand you want your own model. With own custom entitytypes.
It is possbile to do so. But the making is not very easy. We encountered that also and we are making an visulation of our model using ERD charts (showing relationship). So in future you can create your own metamodel yourself.
You can define your own entitytypes but defining relations between them (is hard with the tools available for public). We have a toolset available to define a complete new metamodel.
So as a service (maybe you like to donate?) we can create your metamodel. What we need is the entitytypes the items and the relations between them.

For example if you want to model:
Computer tools provice us the items within that and how do they relate to the other entitytypes.
If you define stuf make sure you have the proper authorization.
Our authorisation is based on the NOT principle so you provide who can not see the data.

Hope we can help you! Thanx for your reply.

      John
