I've got a Java, C++, C#, and Objective-C implementation of DIS 7 in the svn repository.
Open-DIS works by parsing an XML file that describes the protocol (the PDUs, fields, field types, and so on) and generating the language code (Java, C++, etc.)
The XML file I used for the DIS 7 implementation is based off an older draft of the standard, and I haven't gone back and checked for changes between the draft and final standard. It's probably OK for the most common PDUs, but it would be a good idea to bounce it against the final standard.

Thanks for the info. Good to hear that you have at least partially addressed DIS 7. I'll check into the code. I'm still trying to get a copy of the final standard.

I am working in C++ and using DIS version 6. I want to move to DIS version 7
due to some limitations in DIS6. But, there is some change in DIS7 and final
draft as you have mentioned that you have used old draft. Kindly, can you upgrade
it with new draft. I'll be very thankfull to you.

Farhan

I’m kind of backed up, probably won’t be able to look at it until December sometime.
It’s likely to be “pretty close” to finished, unless you’re working with the more obscure
PDUs. If you’re just using ESPDUs it should be fine.
BTW, I’m in the process of moving over to github, which should make it easier for
others to contribute.

I'm new to open-dis. Does open-dis support DIS version 7 or are their plans to support it?

Do you have a list of the PDUs you’ll be using? I may be able to review those
in a more timely way.
