I've succeeded in downloading the OpenBeOS source tree from CVS, compiling it, producing the kernel etc. floppy disk and booting it on both my computers. I appreciate how much work has gone into just making that text mode shell appear - congratulations to all who made it happen!
This might seem like an obvious question, but I can't find the answer to it anywhere... how can I try out those parts of OpenBeOS which are developed and currently run under the existing BeOS? (am running R5.0.3 Professional Edition, i.e. the commercial one not the free download)
I guess my main question is, how to start the OpenBeOS app_server, media_server etc. and get programs, especially the "UnitTester" things, to connect to them instread of the normal BeOS ones? I previously downloaded a prototype of the new app_server and had it display a 'screen' in a window, but can't work out how to do this with the latest version from CVS.
