I've been moving to Eihort the past days, and now have both Eihort and
OIS installed. The migration will require an input system to be written,
and one has to be designed before doing so.
Now the main problem of such is game state management, that is which
listener will receive the input event in a particular situation. The
OpdeGUI is just not enough so I was searching for a better solution.
I've found a nice example of stack based game state management at ogre's
Look for the ois-example.zip
This seems as a good way to go, so let's code something similar.
I'll be thinking about this more, but the way the stack is organized in
the example is nice enough for me to say that opde should get something
alike. This will end up probably by me writing this kind of input
manager at weekend. I'll try to keep you informed. If someone would like
to put a helping hand with this, I'll be glad. I don't want to spend my
time writing something that will show up as temporary later on.
That's all for now
