Hello All I've been studying the OPC and I'd like to take part on the development = of a "cheap" solution for data acquisition in small industries and in = the academic environment (laboratories, for example). I've noticed the rise of XML as interfacing technology and now I would = like to port some OPC solutions to open-source. My first try would be a = OPC-DA server for Modbus, running on top of Linux, but I still have some = doubts with the middleware. What is a good way of running DCOM on Linux? = Is .NET really free, so that I can use C# for the solution? The second = part my intended solution is an XML-based PHP server for posting data to = the WEB. All kind of information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your = support! :-) Greetings Victor Rocha Florian=F3polis, Brazil |
