Just to keep the information flowing. I completed a large rework today. I have all the catalogs working correctly, at least apparently. I am in the process of adding all the catalog defines to the objects we want cataloged. I also successfully added the per patient/member catalogs, and will be setting objects to update to these. This will be a neat trick, as it will allow us to use a ZCatalog to access patient informatino, giving us a very powerful search function, and speed. I have the EMR working again, but will dive in and break stuff again soon, as I am going to be rewriting the view and edit scripts to use the ZCatalogs to gather information. I know it doesn't seem like we are doing much, but there is a great deal of activity going on in the back ground. I also put up a server at my office to host the TORCH site, and the SVN server. I need a server I have dedicated access to, and that I can thrash if I need to, so I made that move. We will now have 3 developement servers, and SVN should help us keep them linear. We will see. The server I set up today will be a dedicated server, so I will have more freedom to experiment if I need to, and won't feel guilty about hosing someone elses system. :) Jake and I are working hard to make it to a milestone to get a beta out the door before the AMIA meeting in October. I have contacted John-Paul Mead, as he contacted me several months ago, and we hope that we can at the least put a more impressive version of TORCH in his hands by the conference. Jake and I would both like to be able to go, but as we are both expecting (well, he and his wife, and I and mine) around that time, and the conference is very expensive for a gnu project, that may not be possible. If we can make an arrival for the Demo, and then hit the road, we may try that. I have not received word back from John-Paul yet, so will see what we can do. Things are progressing. We are still open to help, there are _many_ things that people could do to become involved, from donations, to web page design, to hopefully soon, testing. I will keep you informed the best I can.
