(I have requested a log in account but I am wating
receipt of my confirmation email)

After having successfully installed and verified the
ooRexx binaries under Windows I then tried to build
ooRexx under Aix from the supplied source.

I do not have a great deal of experience with Aix as my
background is Mainframes and PC. However, I read the
INSTALL notes; then ran the Configure script and the
resulting Makefile, which failed.

I could make no sense of the problems with the
makefile, except that I determined what appeared to be
variable assignments seemed to be executing as
commands.

I have enclosed the following

a. Config.log generated by the execution of configure
b. Terminal log from the execution of configure
c. Makefile created by the execution of configure
d. Terminal log from the execution of Makefile.

Can someone help please?

I have now realised my mistake. I did not issue the 'Make' but
instead executed the Makefile. Please disregard the original
    problem.

Building ooRexx under AIX is still a problem as we (the
project team) also have little experience with AIX. ooRexx
3.0.0 will not support AIX, but this port will be the first
platform we concentrate on after the first release.
