All right, now that you all have been busy figuring out Cygwin, I finally asked
Google to find me Autoconf for Windows, and up this came... the same project I
have been using to get Linux type tools on Windows.
These are Windows command line tools, right right in a cmd.exe session. No need
for the OS within an OS affect which Cygwin uses.
My team will be reviewing these tools for our build environment, and even if
ooRexx stays with Cygwin, we will probably "look over the shoulder" and see
about getting the scripts you all come up with to work with these tools so we
can build without Cygwin.
Sorry for taking so long to check Google on this topic... has not been a lot of
fun around here for some time. Doing my best to keep pushing forward. The fact
that I had heard these tools refered to as Autotools, but more hits come up for
Autoconf which I was NOT Googling for did not assist any! ;-)
Oh, and there were/are two projects (maybe more) at SF of ports of Linux tools
to native Windows. The other project seems to be dead last I checked, this one
has regular updates appearing for it. So a while back I switched to this one.
