i) .application~autoDetection(.false) did the job. You pointet me 
already offlist in the right direction, so here just for the 
record and benefit of others.

ii) was solved earlier with your hint about the sequence defining 
dialog elements. Tnx

LOL! <subject drift> There are so many things I did not grasp yet. 
Without the examples I would not have come to any result.
