Not sure I follow. One has always been able to set numeric digits > 9. If the default changes from implementation to implementation, then one has to add an explicit Numeric Digits in everything to be sure of getting identical results. (Note I'm not talking about the 9-digit limit on arguments to BIFs, and the like ... and I think those have already been lifted in some cases, like Stream, anyway? Those are more like implementation limits, and yes, those will change from implementation to implementation and programmers dealing with Big Objects and streams have to worry about those underlying/system limits anyway.)
