The Java JNI interface provides additional definitions
that are only available to the C++ programmer that make
the interface easier to use in C++.

The RXSTRING structure is a good candidate for C++
expansion. The RXSTRING structure has a number macros
defined for manipulating the data. These macros are
essentially instance methods, and might be better
embodied as real methods. Additional functions such as
reallocating/releasing the RXSTRING backing memory
could also built into the class version. The
RexxVariablePool interface is another likely candidate
for simplifcation.

This RFE was superceded by the new APIs introduced in 4.0. Not really needed anymore.
