In general ooDialog is stuck in the Windows 95 / 98 world. It should be updated to take advantage of the User Interface improvements in Windows XP and Vista.
The new look to the common controls introduced in XP can only be used by adding a manifest to the resources of a program. The manifest resource is ignored when the application runs on a system prior to XP (W2K, NT, Windows 95 / 98.) However for a user running XP, the addtion of a manifest gives all ooDialog programs the same look as other XP applications.
The difference is actually quite striking.
