A quick question. What is the difference between these two examples?
'mycommand with lots',
'and lots', / a comment /
/ a comment /
The first example is just fine .. however the second example results in the
truncation of mycommand at the start of the comment. Any pointers would be
The first is one Rexx clause, the second is two. The line with the
standalone comment does not get completely removed, only the comment
portion of it. The linend is still there, so it terminates the clause
that started with 'mycommand'. Add another ',' to that line to get it
continued to the next line.
Thank's very much for the reply. I do have another question if I may.
Does ooRexx - specifically the SAY command perform any kind of output locking
through an event or mutex to signal that it has acquired the output
stream/console?. I ask because I have a version of Pipelines that I am nearly
finished with and I am having problems with output overlap with my interactive
TRACE mode and a SAY command writing to the console.
