I expected that IF.testGroup would use self~syntax() when there are syntax errors in the test (see tests 109,110, 112,113 in attachment).
Here it looks as if the syntax error was unintended.

::method "test_109"
x=1ae+094
If x=1ae+094 then self~assertSame(x, "1AE+094")
else self~assertTrue(0)

What I did to produce the attachment:
* compiled rev. 7320 (script see previous bugtracker)
* uninstalled ooRexx & installed rev. 7320:
rpm -e ooRexx
rpm -i /home/uli/rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/ooRexx-4.2.0-7320.opensuse1140.x86_64.rpm
* run the test:
uli@ulmo:~/oorexx/test/trunk> ./testOORexx.rex -X native_API

    This came about because of a small fix to the scanner in trunk. Previously 1ae+094 was incorrectly being treated as a single token instead of two tokens with an operator between them.

    The tests worked as written prior to the fix.

    I've updated the test in trunk.

    The fix for this item was in the 4.1.1 or 4.1.0 release.
