#1 gnome2 version

It would be very nice to have a gnome2 version of the
applet, since current version doesn't work well with
gnome2 (as all gnome 1 applets, the applet doesn't
open in the gnome 2 panel, but opens a separate
gnome1-style panel, which makes it as well as
unusable with gnome2). Since OpenOffice is really slow
at starting up, an applet like this is very helpful, but I
can't use it since I use gnome2.
