#17 non-resizable window

I use Ubuntu Hardy amd64 and the default (metacity?) for graphics. After installing ooolatex, I tried to open the configuration window, but it was too small and was not resizeable. After turning off graphical effects (in preferences-> appearance -> visual effects), it worked fine. According to the forum, other people with both metacity and compiz are also having this problem: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2046334&forum_id=503853.
