The procedures BIT, CC and GET does not seem to be present (The March
1995 ed. of the language report also mentions GETREG and PUTREG and
these are not present either). If I have a CHAR I can e.g. inspect the
second rightmost bit with:

x: CHAR;
...
IF ODD(ORD(SYSTEM.LSH(x, -1)) THEN ... ELSE ... END

but how do I do that with a BYTE?
