I thought I sent yoiu the link, but I guess not. Here it is: http://www.users.muohio.edu/darcusb/xslt/keynote_to_S5.xsl Mine is pretty basic; I just got the minimum implementation I needed to get through the semester (I used S5 for lectures, instead of PPT or Keynote)! The only styles I added were for blockquote and attribution (OO's current lack of paragraph styles a bit of a problem here), and emphasis. So, no links, and no images. I added those by hand to the xhtml. =20 > Okay, sounds good. Want to nominate a namespace (prefix for named styles, > really) and tags? What other plugins want this treatment? If we need a namespace (I'm not convinced we do, but if you feel strongly, then that's fine), then it should indicate something about its function: structured/semantic tagging. I think I called my template "structured document," though I can't say I put much thought into it! Bruce |

I think the approach is reasonable, if a little unorthodox (not that=20 there's anything wring with that). It might be worth nothing (FYI) that Norm Walsh recently released a=20 DocBook NG version of the slides schema. DocBook slides tends to use a=20= lot of standard DocBook content for the reasons you note above, but I=20 *think* they use db:slide for the slides. I'm thinking of moving my=20 source content there, though my OO2S5 export plug-in has worked fairly=20= well. > Final question: should this be exposed as a different Export option in > OmniOutliner's Export=85 menu, or should I leave it to users to load > another environment (--use=3Doo-pre) when running the single source=20 > document? I think the former, though this may bear further thought. I still think we should standardize on a template -- with style names=20 -- that can be used across our different plug-ins. Bruce |

Mark Smith said this at Sat, 15 Jan 2005 18:22:12 +0100: >and being scared shitless by the prospect of trying to write #3 I hear you there. It's intimidating (even throwing the general case away and confining things to the feature set I've set up), but the "geek coolness" factor keeps it on the list for me. I mentioned before that I think it would be valuable to decouple the editing logic of oo2contml from the output backend. In other words, if I have an OO file that represents a conference paper, I'd like to be able to export it ultimately to: - html - S5 (Eric Meyer's excellent new XHTML/CSS/JS slideshow system) or Keynote - ContML (maybe; I'm still waiting on Hans to offer better class support, as I have time to write my own) It seems the editing details that Adam has worked out ought to be widely applicable, and explicitly NOT in any way directly linked to ConTeXt (or any other output format). Hey all. Thanks a lot for your feedback in the past few days. I moved things over to SourceForge to take advantage of their infrastructure. I hope its occasional downtimes don't get in the way. Here's what I consider to be a release candidate: <http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php? group_id=128087&package_id=140240&release_id=295048> If there are no show-stoppers, I'll announce it to the Omni and ConTeXt lists by Monday. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Adam T.
