A new version that adds messaging at the appdomain and apphost level. Plenty of bug fixes have gone in. There are still plenty left though - beware!
Release of the completely rehashed Onyct libraries. Support for configuration, logging and messaging included. Along with documentation and some testing. MSI installs binaries, documentation and source code. The source is only partial.
A few days ago I decided that there were sufficient useful new features in .NET 3.0/3.5 to make it worth migrating to that platform. So I have. The migration was painless and the new features have been working well.
It is worth noting that I have not attempted to maintain the install and document projects and that these are likely to be defunct.
Otherwise, the project is still rolling along, albeit slowly, with changes to the way in which configuration is parsed and treated as an object model. The moment these changes are finished I will be able to complete the basic application server (service-based) and the first usable release will be possible.
This is the very first release of Onyct. It is incomplete, buggy and will change _a_lot_ before the first beta release. However it is a chance to look at the general structure and to get an idea of where it is going. Don't use this for anything other than having a poke around - for goodness sake don't use it for building anything remotely serious. The installer includes all of the binaries, source code and CHM documentation.
