#12 Files and Password Protected Directory

I downloaded the files and placed them in a directory
that I call filelocker. Within this directory I have two
subdirectories names keaton and frank. I introduced
a .htaccess file in the frank directory making it a
password protected directory. However when I bring up
file manager I am able to go into the frank directory
without being asked for a password. Is there a way to
correct this. I uploaded a word document to the keaton
directory without any problems. However, when I try to
view it by double clicking on it and tellong the dialog box
that I just want to open the file (so that I can view it) I
get an error message telling me it can't open file
because it can't find it. I have no trouble when I tell it
to save the file to my computer. I noticed that this also
happens on your demo. How can I read this file without
saving it to my computer. Thanks.
