So, after the fact, I looked-up euphemistically -- just to make sure I 
spelled it right.  I guess I'm so anal-retentive that I had to know but 
not so anal-retentive that I did it beforehand.  The funny thing is that 
the definition reads "An inoffensive expression that is substituted for 
one that is considered offensive."  Certainly, in this case, I did just 
the opposite.

I just thought that was funny (in an oddly ironic sort of way)...
