Very little development occurs and most of the devs that used to be involved have moved on to other things. I've probably been the most active developer for OnBoardC in recent history but since it's not something I get paid to do, it has to be fit in around my other activities. I tend to do more app development using OnBoardC (rather than hacking on OnBoardC itself) since I have my phone with me all the time, while my computer lives at home. Don't let the lack of updates scare you off though. OnBoardC is a mature program and while the lack of bug fixing means there are things you may need to work around in your code, it's certainly able to function as a development environment. I use an old PowerPC build of PRC-Tools on my MacBook Pro when I do offline Palm development. I had a zip file with the latest version of OnBoardC (with various bug fixes and enhancements not found in the last official release) on my web site but I moved recently and had to switch ISPs so that link is broken. I'm trying to get it back but since my new ISP doesn't give me web storage it'll take a little while. The link (once it's working again) will be http://ramsay.webhop.org/ OnBoard.zip (this reminds me, I really need to include a changelog that lists the changes in this build from the last official build). -- Link |
