The omni driver provides many different ways of adding a device. The simplist is to take an existing device and copy the XML file into a new device name and add a line to "Device List". From there, you can modify the forms that it has by creating a new form XML file or tray, or resolution, or ... If the language is different, then you create new blitter and instance cpp files. If you want to support the device in a proprietary manner, then you can still have open source forms, trays, medias, etc, but have a binary object for the bitmap to printer language (or blitter) section. Take a look at "Pluggable Blitter" document. Mark Take a look at the Linux Omni Printer Driver Framework at http://www.ibm.com/linux/ltc/projects/omni/ mi...@mi... The printer is based on the Epson TM-T88P. I would like to use the IBM Omni driver as the model for this new driver, what is the best way to proceed?
