my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite M40-285 although the DMI on the omnibook module reports it is a Toshiba Satellite PRO M40.
I tested it with all ectypes but it seems that ectype 14 is the most suitable for this model. This ectype was the only one which reported a true lcd brightness level, although its not possible to change the brightness level (well, i can change it with echo value > lcd, but it takes no effect) On the other side bluetooth works perfectly. As i could see on the support table, hotkeys support isnt enabled in this ectype so i couldnt test it.
