This email is just to tell all of you that my e-mail is dav...@ms... Do not forward mail here. If you want to make sure it goes to dav...@gm... I need to know what exactly is wrong with the GM accounts. They are working fine for me over here. I can use all the atcommands and have GM privileges so there shouldnt be any problem I need a specific pointout of what is wrong. Also, we need to implement the server-side friends list feature. Or else newer versions of RO clients cannot be used on the server. I do not have a kRO account and therefore I am unable to sniff out the packets involved in the process. If anyone does have information or other resources on this, please mail all the info through this mail list. Apparently mRO has implemented new emoticons. I won't be surprised if kRO will have them too, along with new items. I will be checking up the new packet info on these new emotes to enable them on the server. Several other things have appeared on kRO as well and will need to be implemented. Stability of the server is still our main priority. We simply cannot implement new things knowing that it will compromise stability and therefore I hope everybody knows very well what they are doing before inserting code into oA. I just updated from the cvs. If merging with eA is still our goal we might as well replace all our code with theirs. My point is that many additions to the eA code has made it very unstable. I know a server hosted on a friends pc using eA which goes on a crashing spree. Also, some servers like chRO and bbRO which use eA have been known to crash very often recently. We must add code in ourselves knowing what we are doing to make sure it is as stable as it is now. If I have offended anyone I am sorry. I just feel a certain responsibility in keeping oA as stable and for the quality of the server software. [Codemaster] atcommand.c chrif.c clif.c script.c skill.c vending.c pc.c I changed a few things: 1. in pc.c i made it so it registers Novice Highs as class 24 and upper level 1, not just upper level 1 and Class 0 in all of them, where it checks for certain classes, I added in the appropriate Advance Class numbers and the such, so it should be working nicely, at the least. |

Well.. ladmin does more than that. I think its biggest thing is its capability to issue @commands without actually logging in. I think. Don't quote me on that. Course.. if I had the time I would work on the centralised data server idea.. which would mean all three servers access their data in one way. And the data server handles the data format. That would make implementation of ladmin rather easier too. I really think standardising db access is key to making the whole project alot easier to dev on. Hi mugendai, hi all, - Implementing ladmin in SQL could be cool for people who can't run apache/php on their server, but nowadays, this is not very common, so because 'Athena Control Panel' from Aznd is a powerful tool, I don't think we should waste time on SQL ladmin. - i'll try to fix the SQL char/login (if time + skills ^_^) - other dev's, please move ur ass :) Devil. --- mugendai <mug...@an...> a écrit : > I dont do this often. I dont do this often. Then again.. as of late I dont get a chance to do anything often. But I am checking in semi broken and half done code: -=-July 28, 2004-=- Updated Mugendai • Changed makefile to include ../../common so the tools could have easier access to this path, and changed the tools accordingly • Imported ladmin from eAthena - added ladmin source to the src/tools/ladmin path - updated makefiles for ladmin - added ladmin_athena.conf to conf path - included admin_packet.txt english version from eAthena • Imported some more sql login and char server changes from eAthena • Imported various other map changes from eAthena having to do with antifreeze, ladmin, and char status • Updated setupmysql and login.sql, added char_upgrade_1037Lto1038.sql - MUST UPDATE • Todo Updated, very important to see what I wrote. ---------------------------- Here is the ToDd ---------------------------- 07/29/04- Mugendai -PLEASE contact me via the mailing list. We really need to start communicating with it. Mostly cause thats about the only way I have time to communicate anymore. We deffinetly need to discuss current situation. -I've begun more major implementation of eAthenas changes.. lots of stuff changed to the login and char servers having to do with lots of odds and ends, including GM account info, ladmin and such. ladmin is only working on text, this is also true of eAthena. Actually I can't guarantee it's even working in text for us.. but in theory it seems to be. Anyway due to these changes, I am checking in BROKEN code. All the servers compile.. but SQL login/char dont seem to be letting you login quite yet. And I dont have time to finish that. I also see that map and text char arent working together.. I got it broken good. (^_^) And dont expect me to have time to fix it soon. I just helped the ball keep rolling. -Go through every line of eAthena/oAthena code and keep the best of the two. -Go through all new eAthena DBs.. see if there is anything usefull or needed. -Implement ladmin in SQL. Suggest first implementing the simple parser and have it just kick up a not yet implemented message for each function, until you implement each one. -Add credits for individual eA devs who did most the work in the latest version. 07/28/04- Devil -Fix FROST_JOKE skill which is crashing the server, -mugendai: I tested this and it didnt crash the server- -Update char_txt, login_txt ?? with eA's features like our current sql char/login and TEST IT ! |

Valaris and Mark conducted an actual test on a windows box, using many players & bots. We managed to get up to 68 players before people got bored, and signed off. Mark is VERY good at sockets, and was able to determine a fix based off of FD_SETSIZE, and Valaris was able to use it properly. We were able to get past 56 players, but then Mark notified use that Windows can only support 64 connections per thread, so we had to test the server to go past 64, and we did. >From: mugendai <mug...@an...> >Reply-To: omn...@li... >To: omn...@li... >Subject: Re: [Omniathena-developer] oA 1035n Update (56 Player bug >fixed!!!) >Date: Sat, 03 Jul 2004 23:56:57 -0500 > >And exactly HOW was the 56 player bug fixed? >And have you actually tested? or is this a theoretical fix?
