Unless there is a blank original template of the file present in
your SAVE folder...those .tmp files will keep on replicating
sequentially until it sees the main file it is trying to backup.
Example:
account.txt
athena.txt
storage.txt
castle.txt
etc.
These files must be originally present in the SAVE folder prior
to running OA. If NOT found....those temp files will keep on
appearing.

All of the files you said were present but still .tmp keeps on
dupicating itself. I think the problem here is in the core....

Added it so you can disable this in battle_athena.conf ;)
And, it creates a .bak, then renames it to .tmp
