The largest problem I have right now is the lack of an acpi module for XFree86. This mean no power saving features does work. I looked for a generic acpi->apm emulator, and I found that you have already implemented one. Would it be to much trouble to port this to the Compaq Presario/Evo laptops? I've already tried to hack around a bit, and got it to load, but the apm does not work yet. Is there an easy way to find out what embedded controller I have? Ideally, there would be an ACPI module for X, but I've seen nothing even remotely like that. Cheers,
Sorry but my module is not an apm emulator. I just reports the ac adapter status and battery gauge via /proc/apm for comparibility purposes.
