To Files → 5- Macros and tools → Other things, I have uploaded an OpenOffice extension (ExportToGlossary-1.0.0.oxt) that enables simple export of a spreadsheet (current sheet only) to a text file suitable as an OmegaT glossary. Install it, and in OpenOffice Calc you’ll see a new menu item of Export to OmegaT glossary under the File top menu. Open a spreadsheet in OpenOffice Calc, select the above menu item, and a new file will appear in the same directory such as: a) for file.ods, file.xls, file.xlsx, the result will be file.txt; b) for file.anything.else, the result will be file.anything.else.txt. The file will be plain-text, tab-separated, UTF-8. The extension has been tested to work under Apache OpenOffice 4.1.2. It will probably work with earlier AOO versions, as well as with ol’ good OpenOffice.org. It does not work with LibreOffice 5.0.2.1 (blame LO developers for constantly breaking things), however, the very macro does work there, so you can manually implant it to LO [1].
