#91 Segment merging with additional fields
Hi,
I regularly get different TM's for different products, that all share a lot of options. I prefer to merge these TMs into a single file to keep overall consistency as high as possible. I keep the different products and projects apart by adding custom text fields such as Job, TM and Product.
However, when I import a new product TM, I often get many duplicates of the same source and target translation but with different values in the text fields.
I would like to request a merge option that merges segments with identical source and target but with different Text field values into one segment with all text field values together, so I don't lose them. E.g.:
Press button <X> to go to <Y>.
Job: 80231
TM: CLIENTX_203
Product: PRODUCT_A
Press button <X> to go to <Y>.
Job: 80132
TM: CLIENTX_204
Product: PRODUCT_B
merge into:
Press button <X> to go to <Y>.
Job: 80231, 80132
TM: CLIENTX_203, CLIENTX_204
Product: PRODUCT_A, PRODUCT_B
Looks like a very useful function.
