Currently I have only x86 Linux box but I would like to try the library by some simple test code. Can this library be built on Linux x86 platform? Thanks.
You probably could make it work, but since the x86 is not supported by the JIT, you shouldn't use it for any performance comparisons.
A conversion library the OpenGL ES reference implementation (an API wrapper around desktop GL) or dogless (project here on sourceforge; another converter between OpenGL and OpenGL ES) might be a better starting point for you.
