Frank,

as I need to read VMAP0 data, I got OGDI-3.1.1 and tried
to compile it on Redhat. Some simple fixes (find attached)
in the 'makefiles' were needed to make compilation
possible with EXPAT in a non-standard directory (say,
to get the --with-expat=/some/path working).

If possible, please apply the fixes to the CVS.
The sourceforge CVS doesn't let me connect,
so I have attached the complete Makefiles.

One remaining problem which I was unable to solve,
is posted in the OGDI bugtracker (skeleton subdir).

I looked into this a bit, but I was unable to verify the problem
with external expat's, so I am going to defer this for at least
one more OGDI release.
