    Hello there,
I have just downloaded ogapp-1.2.0_win_121102 but I can't install it.Specifically, when the installation starts, pop up windows appear and inform me that there was Error with writing C:\Program Files...\GNU_GENERAL_PUBLICLICENSE.pdf and then error again with The Ogapp.exe.I tried with the zip version too but I had the same results.
    I use Windows 7- 32bit version, Intel Pentium 3.00GHz, RAM 2,50GB.
    Thanks.

    Ciao Athanasia
Thank you for your feedback. I have tested the executable and the installation on XP so I supposed that for other OS there are some problems.
It seems that the problem the installer has problem in writing in the destination folder. I'm not expert of permission management introduced in Win7 so one of my suggestion is to try to change the installation folder.
The program can be installed or copied from the zip file in any folder and it should be executed.
Can you report which error you have using the zip file extracted in any folder and running the executable.
I will try to find a Win7 to make some test.

    Ciao
    Gigi

Today I have tested the ogapp-1.2.0_win_121102.exe on a Win 7.
The setup runs correctly and install the executable and the required dll in the default installation folder but running the installed OGapp.exe I get a the message that the libstdc++-6.dll is missing.
I prepared a new setup file ogapp-1.2.0_win_121109.exe that insludes this missing dll. I have also included it in the ogapp-1.2.0_win_121109.zip
I tested both under Linux using wine, let me know if over a real Win7 it works.

    Ciao

    Ciao Athanasia
I tested the installation on Vista and I reproduce the issue you mention.
I was able to install the program in a different location for example
    C:\Users\koala\OGapp\
I think that the setup requires the administrator privileges. I will try to adjust the setup in the next releases.

    Ciao
    Gigi

    Hi Gigi,
happy new year!Best wishes for 2013!Sorry for my delayed response.
You are right, the setup requires the administrator privileges, so the user has two options to do.Either install the program in a different location or change the user account control settings.I picked the second action and the program installed normally in the default installation folder.I'm on the way to store my own notes :-)

    Ciao Athanasia
Thank you and happy new year also to you.
Now I know what option have to be enabled in the Setup builder to have all working fine also in Vista and Seven. I need just to build another setup to overcome this issue but probably I will do it just for the next release.

Enjoy the programs and let me know if you find other issues or requests for the new releases (please open another thread for each one and do not forget the subject ;) )

    Ciao

    Hi again,
I'm glad to hearing from you that you have found what you should do with the setup.I have to give you congrats for the development of the OGapp program. It's simple, easy and helpful with the notes.I have found some points which I would refer to you.I'll open other topics with each subject(I forgot in this one.:-$)

I'm quite sure that in the latest version there is no need for administrator privileges and the istallation completes without obstacles :-)
