Security vulnerability discovered

A security vulnerability in OFFL was recently discovered through <a href="http://milw0rm.com/exploits/4374">milw0rm.com</a> (thanks to vikesfan for finding this). We hope to have a patch for this soon as it allows outside hackers to run malicious code such as PHP.Backdoor. Frequent backups of the OFFL database and file structure are recommended in the interim.

OFFL 0.2.6 Released

OFFL (pronounced awful), is an online NFL-based fantasy football league manager. This release contains a fix for automated scoring for the 2007 season.

Download the latest release at http://sourceforge.net/projects/offl/

This update deprecates the scraping of stats from nfl.com in favor of CBS Sportsline. Very special thanks to vikesfan and stratego for quickly and efficiently writing code to address this issue.

OFFL 0.2.1 Released, World Looks Other Way

Several bug fixes are added to OFFL with the 0.2.1 release. Most notably, several roster exploits have been patched, as has the trade resolution system. Defensive stats (sacks / ints) are also corrected. Finally, some minor UI enhancements are in place -- tooltips and improved trade administration.

OFFL Reaches Beta with Release 0.2a

** Quick Note **
One flaw has been patched, and is available in offl-0.2-update. It's just an upload-over-existing fix. The main package has also been updated.

OFFL v0.2a has been released, and Brad and I feel confident enough to label this Beta- rather than Alpha-grade code.

Most significantly, database load issues have been addressed, dramatically accelerating page generation time in many places (particularly those listing lots of players). Additionally, various bug fixes have been put into place.... read more

OFFL v0.1.7 Released

Apologies for the long wait, but OFFL v0.1.7 is released and available for download. I stalled on this one to see how the first week of the season would actually play out, and I think we've now got a pretty stable and functional system. The recent NFL.com overhaul is almost completely taken into account (with the possible exception of importing team defenses, see the patch area for that manual fix).... read more

NFL.com Update

NFL.com is in the midst of a site redesign currently. As a result, data importation (NFL schedule, players, stats, etc) is currently non-functional. I doubt the underlying format is overly different, though, so I'll be cranking out revised versions as quickly as possible.

OFFL v0.1.6

OFFL version 0.1.6 is released and available for download. We've tried to incorporate as many fixes as possible from the help forum, and have tacked on a couple new features as well.

Database performance is slightly improved, but still needs work -- there were enough bugs outstanding that we wanted to get this out soon instead of waiting for that.

Of note, this is the first release to require serious database maintenance. The -patch file has an upgrade script included to handle the conversion. Additionally, the config.php file has been expanded, so you'll need to reset your specifics there before uploading it. Also be sure to check if the items in its new "Troubleshooting" area apply to you. We'll continue to centralize configuration-specific code there.

OFFL v0.1.5

OFFL 0.1.5 has been released with even more bug fixes.
The draft system should have all its inconsistencies worked out, as does the news system. Rosters now update starters/bench correctly. Several minor things have been addressed for generally smoother operation.

Finally, some login inconsistencies have been addressed, but the problems lie in JavaScript, which I'm not overly familiar with. As a temporary fix, the <Enter> key no longer submits the login form.

Fixes: user creation, draft display

OFFL version 0.1.4a is released with another round of bug fixes including flaws with passwords on new user creation, draft display errors, and the logo upload script.

More bug fixes! v0.1.3

OFFL 0.1.3 is now released. Fixes include the reported Division error as well as "not logged in" when posting news items.

As before, the -patch file contains altered files plus patch instructions.

Intermediate Update -- OFFL v0.1.2

I missed a couple glaring errors already. The new release is v0.1.2, which patches the database load and the draft interface.

Alpha release of OFFL

OFFL's first public release is now available.

OFFL supports multiple-league hosting for fantasy football. It includes an HTML draft board, trade and waiver engines, task automation, and near-real-time statistics processing. Additionally, a wide variety of roster and scoring options are available, all configurable on a league-to-league basis.

As a first release, there are undoubtedly bugs yet to be found, as well as features not yet implemented. I'll be spending as much time between now and the start of the NFL season working on the former, but the latter will most likely be deferred. Suggestions are still welcome, however.
