There are several sports based RSS feeds available
for reporting news relative to players, teams or
leagues. This data is pushed through the RSS XML
standards and is both easily parsed and filtered.
Multiple news sources could be provisioned as most
are free.
News events can be correlated to NFL players in OFFL
and then stored in a table. Roster changes including
players being benched, suspended or placed on IR
could be updated into OFFL, alerting the OFFL user to
make roster changes.
