#17 Generating Tamil audio books

In February 2011, a volunteer at a visually challenged reading group in Chennai, India, asked a question about the possibility to generate tamil sangam literature into audio books using DAISY.

Initial support for creating audio books in what OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice call "Asian languages" (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese) and "CTL languages" (complex text layout) is now available in the source code but requires testing. (First tests were with Chinese only.)
