What is the full list the MSO2007 acceptable file extensions for use with the command line converter? For example, docm is "not supported." So do we just have xlsx/pptx/xlsx?
annerose, thanks for the response. If I do not care about macros or resulting file has the correct template extension, is it OK to simply rename dotx to docx, xltx to xlsx, and potx to pptx before feeding to OdfConverter?

Actually, the differences between the different document types are not only the file extension but also the content type specified in the [Content_Types].xml file inside the OpenXML package. However, the command line tool currently only checks the file extension, thus it should not be a problem to rename the files.

Dirk
P.S.: Stay tuned for the upcoming release of v2.5. The release is planned for the next week. It will be able to convert .ott and .dotx files.

There's about 15 total

Thanks for the request.
Version 2.0 accepts docx, xlsx, pptx, odt, ods and odp.
Version 2.5 will add support for dotx and ott.
We will consider adding additional file types such as docm in future versions. However the macros will not be translated.

Hi Andrew,
Simply renaming the files should work.
Actually, the differences between the different document types are not only the file extension but also the content type specified in the [Content_Types].xml file inside the OpenXML package. However, the command line tool currently only checks the file extension, thus it should not be a problem to rename the files.
