Hi, I have been looking for some open source software for a serial to ethernet gateway for transmitting sensor network data over IP, via a serial port. That's how I came across the ODDAS project page on sourceforge.net. ODDAS looks quite promising to me and I plan to download it and check it out. But, I was wondering if any of you could tell me if ODDAS would work on any flavor of linux? If not, what are the recommended linuxes for it? Would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks, Arun. |

Hello from Gregg C Levine Earlier today, I attempted to download the contents of the CVS for the ODDAS project, as explained on its project page that concerns itself with CVS. It was rejected. The server complained that the empty password that I supplied was not sufficient, and that I should login using a real password instead. There wasn't any error code supplied. Is there something wrong with the server? Or even with the procedures for loggin in? This is on Slackware 8.0. Gregg C Levine yod...@at... or yod...@wo... "May the Force be with you!" |

I have the same board that you have aquired from IPC, and claim is working well. I am extremely new at embedding things, and would like a few guidelines. I have: wafer SBC with floppy and 32MB flash disk glibc app that is supposed to run on it (using curses for UI and some serial comm to a set of NuDam DAQ modules.) no network. I need: step by step instructions on how to get it working. :) The app is currently working fine on a redhat 7.0 box, but this will not fit in the finished instrument... Best Regards Richard Rostad |
