[Oddas-users] Why is the CVS not accepting my requests to download the contents?

Earlier today, I attempted to download the contents of the CVS for the ODDAS
project, as explained on its project page that concerns itself with CVS. It
was rejected. The server complained that the empty password that I supplied
was not sufficient, and that I should login using a real password instead.
There wasn't any error code supplied. Is there something wrong with the
server? Or even with the procedures for loggin in? This is on Slackware 8.0.
