octave used to have struct_elements, not fieldnames.
octave-forge supplied fieldnames, but suggested using the
official octave function.
Now that octave has fieldnames, it should be removed from
octave-forge, or at least not installed by default. I don't
want to put in the infrastructure to test for functions that
have moved into (or been reimplemented in) octave.
