[OctDev] Using the package system

Hi,
  Hopefully I'll get some spare time in a couple of days, so I'd like to
start converting Octave Forge to the package system which is included in
Octave 2.9.6 and later.
  Is anything happening in Octave Forge currently that I should have in
mind, when doing this transition?=20
  Should I just take a CVS snapshot and use that as my basis, or should
I do something else?
